Bar Botschaft
Copenhagen, 2025

ryesgade botschaft illustrator [Converted].png

The concept centres on a hidden bar behind the kitchen, inspired by speakeasies. It creates a separate, enclosed world that is dark and comfortable and allows guests to forget the world outside the windows.

The space had to support a flexible programme: day-to-day bar service, guests sitting at both the bar and tables, occasional DJ sets and a small dance area when needed. It also had to accommodate pop-up dinners by other restaurants. For this, the prep kitchen is designed to transform into a temporary guest kitchen and the overall layout includes enough dining-style seating to make these events feasible.

All built-in furniture is custom made based on my drawings.
