Designer's Statement

There is a complexity to how everything in this world is interconnected and it truly excites me. I have specialized in adaptive re-use and transformation of existing spaces. The reason for this is that I have a talent for seeing a potential in a space others have given up on. Through transforming a space, I am able to tell the story of what the place has meant to people and what it can mean to them in the future.
The existing structures tell a story of the past, while the new elements connect the space to the present and thereby secure its future. It is comparable to the complexity of culture. I like designing environments that feel like a warm embrace to those who enter them. Connecting people is what gives meaning to my practice and what is at the core of each project. With my skills I want to create spaces of generosity. From me to everyone.
